ABOUT
🎶 About Rock-N-Romp 🎶
Rock-N-Romp's epic family concerts not only create unforgettable moments for families, we're bringing Memphis music to the parents who love music and inspiration to the next generation of music lovers and performers.
The mission: to keep families connected to local music and each other while making sure kids have opportunities to explore music and performance.
🌟 Founded in 2006 by a group of music-loving parents, we've grown from small backyard gatherings to epic family-friendly concerts at fantastic venues. Today Rock-N-Romp is part of the Live From Memphis family but is still fueled by the same enthusiastic love for music and community.
Our week-long summer camp is designed for kids in first through seventh grades. They'll work with local musicians, learning to play instruments, crafting their own songs, and performing with their pint-sized bands in a group showcase. It's all about nurturing the love for music in the young rockstars of tomorrow.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and workshops. Let's rock out and learn together! 🤘

FAQ
Can I bring my newborn? My toddler? My pre-schooler? My tween? My teenager?
The shows are really designed for kids of all ages, although RnR is not an "all-ages" show. If you think your kids would enjoy this type of event, then by all means bring them! We do recommend bringing earplugs for our littlest rompers.
Can I come if I dont have kids?
You MUST be accompanied by a child to attend RNR. If you do not have kids of your own and want to attend, find a niece or a nephew to bring or offer to babysit for a good friend or neighbor. Or sign up to be a volunteer! We always need help.
Where/When are the shows held?
Shows are held in different venues throughout the city on Saturday afternoons starting at 2-3pm (and generally running until around 5-6pm). Specific locations and times will be announced prior to each event.
What if it rains?
We will make every effort to go on with the show, rain or shine. We will email and post our back up plans on the blog and Facebook page prior to each show.
Was RNR started in Memphis?
Rock-n-Romp was started by a cool mama in DC named Debbie Lee. Memphis Rock-n-Romp was originally brought to you by Kelli & Mike Smith, Chip Chockley, Dan Harper, Wendy Trenthem, Stacey Greenberg, Robby Grant, and Shiloh Barnat. Currently Rock-N-Romp is presented by Live From Memphis and BVO.
How much is it?
Kids are Free. $5 for Adults. $5 helps cover the cost of sound equipment, bands, insurance, etc. It does not cover beer or food.
Is the food and beer free?
10 years ago the food and drink used to be part of the entry fee. Now, it’s much more expensive to put on an event. We wanted to keep the entry fee low but at the same time sustainable. Food and drink will either be for sale by the venue, partners, or food trucks.
